Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, S.20 -- Monetary Relief to Daughter -- Postgraduate Education of Major Daughter -- Father liable to bear educational expenses despite daughter attaining majority. Monetary relief under Section 20 is wider than maintenance and covers educational expenses of a daughter, including postgraduate studies. Attainment of majority does not by itself extinguish liability of father where daughter has no independent income and continues her education. Obligation of father to support education does not end on the daughter turning major.
