Civil Procedure Code, 1908, O.1 R.10 -- Impleadment -- Power of Attorney Holder -- A power of attorney holder may conduct proceedings on behalf of the principal but cannot be impleaded as a party to the suit nor can he substitute the plaintiff -- He can appear only as a witness in his personal capacity, and the provisions of CPC provide for recording of his evidence on issuance of a commission.
