Employees' Compensation -- Murder on Duty -- Death by assault without personal motive qualifies as accidental death under Employees' Compensation Act 1923

Employees' Compensation Act, 1923 -- Employees' Compensation -- Murder on Duty -- Death of an employee by assault while on duty qualifies as accidental death arising out of and in the course of employment, unless credible evidence establishes that the deceased was targeted due to a personal motive unconnected to employment -- Murder committed in furtherance of another felonious act constitutes accidental murder and not murder simpliciter, and does not bar compensation under the Act.
